Today is my only full day on Ko Samui and with a motorcycle at hand I am up early and off to make the most of it. First thing I decided was to ride around the whole island and check all the ferry Ports for the cheapest price for ferry to Ko Phangan. Next I visited a street market and got some beef stew and Pappaya salad. I keep getting a really sore stomach from the coconut milk which seems to be in everything so I am going to have to try avoid it from now on. Next stop the Golden Buddha; gigantic Buddha on a little man made island. It was interesting but once again nothing too spectacular. Ko Samui is a very touristy island and everywhere you go there are tourists mainly Russians - half of which actually live on the island, because of this prices are inflated and it really lacks authenticity. The rest of my afternoon I decided to spend at the beach so I road around for about an hour until I found a very sucluded beach and then spent the afternoon swimming and sun baking. On the way back to my hosts place I stopped in and got some food from Tesco lotus a massive superstore that has a huge Thai food section and at very reasonable prices. Need some sleep tonight as tommorow the party begins in Ko Phangan.
