Pork & Chorizo Soup!! Today I was going to learn from Rene's Maid how to make a typical Salvadorian pork mince and chorizo soup. First thing in the morning we headed to a little corner store to pick up all the ingredients and Ofcourse a few beers for Rene's midday refreshment. Flor then showed me step by step how to make the soup which basically consisted of frying off the mince, sausages, vegetables and coriander before adding to a pot of hot water. To the soup we then added meat seasoning, 3 scrambled eggs and then let simmer. To serve you add fresh lime and chilli and serve with freshly made tortillas. The result an out of this world warm soup that hits all the taste buds; we all sat outside talking about Australia; enjoying the amazing food and one another's company. The weather turned really bad in the afternoon so I used the time to do some trip planning and look at possibilities for next month. Nothing else exciting really happened for the rest of the day and everyone was busy so I did my best to relax.
