Today we went to Sealife Sydney, located in Darling Harbour. I had, in an attempt to save money, tried to book online, but had experienced a technological glitch. Long story short, I got in for half price! We got the light rail into Pyrmont Bay and walked across the bridge to the aquarium.
To start with William was fab and showed me lots of things. My first thing to be impressed by was the platypus. There was more than one, but I don't know the plural! Platypuses, platypi? Anyhoo, they were very cool and a bit smaller than I had anticipated. The dugongs on the other hand were bigger! By this stage William had got bored of looking at things at Jules speed so they did their own thing and left me to it! I met them by the dugongs for the talk and to watch them being fed tray upon tray of crispy lettuce. We saw some funny creatures in the big tanks that turned out to be divers keeping the glass tunnels and gravel clean. I saw lots of sharks and rays and a really really big grouper with a super grumpy face! The big displays of reef life towards the end were incredible and Charlotte was quite happy sitting in front of the massive tanks watching the fish go by. William had a minor glitch with choosing a toy so shortly after exiting we parted company.
I was on a mission to get some shoes to go with my dress for the opera tomorrow night. I'm not a fan of shoe shopping at the best of times, so having to buy something as a necessity (not even I could rock any of my travelling shoes with a glam dress!) in shops I don't know was my idea of hell. And it was, apart from my yummy superfood salad I found for lunch. I finally found a shoe I loved but it didn't have another half so I had to go to another store, which I couldn't find. Needless to say I was hot, tired, shoeless and pretty grumpy by the time I got back to the Auty's. Try again tomorrow!

Helen By "minor glitch" do you mean "hour long tantrum"?!
