Stu and Ellie are setting up a Thai cafe on K Road in Auckland, an area that used to be quite seedy but is now up and coming. There's tattoo parlours, sex shops, cool coffee houses, vintage clothes shops and lots of Pacific Island transvestites walking up and down! They have asked me to stay and help them set up and run the front of house.

It's a lovely little place and it has been quite exciting going to the cash and carry, sorting out the bar and brushing up my Barista skills etc! We're opening on Monday so its all a bit nerve wracking. I'm a bit gutted to have not actually made it south of Auckland as yet (!) and feel like i'm missing out on the rest of New Zealand but Stu and Ellie take such good care of me, have given me a job AND feed me beautiful Thai food every day so its cool.

If all goes according to plan i'll be leaving Orcland on Feb 7th for Wellington, visiting a few hot spots on the way down there. Then WOHOO!! James arrives on 6th March. He is hiring a car and will meet me down there. Can't wait! I'll get the Lambas bread warmed up Jimbob!!
