This time last year I was having a holiday from my holiday in Fiji, now I'm just in dull old England wondering where the time went. I'm really pleased that you're still having an ace time. Maybe we can meet up when you come back. dave Hi Jules, seems to me I need lesons this summer on the idea of a web site for my travels. Mind you I do nothing, so a bit boring for friends. Loved your notes of you and Mum in Melbourne (by golly OZ post is bad, still not got the p.card) it brought back my first trip there in DEC 1978 and of course the whole new Continent bit. I, too, was well supported by dear friends... What date in MAY ? Yes, we,ll give you a week,s sleep before we descend. I expect to be at Ladies Day with the mob from L'pool second week of May Chester Races. You may not have read Mike Mc got a good result, all very relieved after a damned silly charge. Polly and Sally Harris went to court and reported the Judge very much on Mike's side and ordered the Crown Pros. Services to pay his costs, being 100,000 pounds sterling. Wow. If you had been there second Tuesday in NOV I would have said try to get to the Melbourne Cup. As someone who enjoys racing, it has nothing to do with horse racing, but one helluva party party. David @ SMH Hola me Juleeeee. I didn't really want to be the one to 'follow Mium' but someone has to. We thought about you especially today. It's Pancake Day and we had a ball in the grounds this morning. We had Stray FM, The Mayor, and lots of teams. 'Ladies what Lunch' (alias Gill F-S and Lucy) won the trophy. C' and I were winning the final until I dropped the pancake!!! We can see your Mum had a ball in Oz. What a fabulous experience for you both. I don't know if you have a date for your return yet. C' and I are off to the USA on the 10th May and we ain't back until 30th!!! Nothing as grand as your trip but amazin' for us. Life is very much the same here but it's got really cold lately. We are supposed to be having the coldest winter on record but I hope not. Stay in the warmth of Oz and have a great time. See you soon. All our love. David

mummy One week on and finally sleeping normal UK hours again but still dreaming vividly of Sapphire seas, wombats, wallabies and a thousand more Aussie land wonders. I truly had the trip of a life time - all the better for having shared it with you. Thanks, my darling, for your generous heart and .... it must be said, from the both of us, a gratefull salute to the guardian angels (we knew you were there!) who guided us around every coastal corner, through endless bushland miles, past homesteads, creeks, cattle farms, glittery shops, billabongs and breathtaking views. I can't stop smiling at the treasured memories of the two of us I've been enriched with. See you in May, flashpacker, for the next round of well deserved hugs and welcome home kisses. xxxx
