Well what a week! Rather surprisingly, no work has been forthcoming - which is scarey but i am secretly delighted because it's meant Mum and i have been able to leisurely lounge around Sydney and do all the things i had hoped we could in the best case scenario. Hooray!
We visited all my favourite shopping and coffee haunts and snapped up a few bargains to boot. We visited a museum or two and even fitted in some sunbathing.
The boys and I had planned a little lowkey party - their housewarming and my birthday and leaving party all rolled into one. We made the flat look lovely with fairy lights and votives and even catered! David made 50 million little kebabs and i did gaucamole. About 20 people came and all managed to squeeze onto our tiny balcony which already has the big-ASS bbq on it plus David's pots and herb garden. Mummy came and Jobe and Hel and our Pauly made an appearance. It was a great night and i even got a birthday cake and everyone sang. Of course it all got a bit physical towards the end of the night, as these things tend to do, but it always makes for good pics.
On the 3rd, i moved out of the flat - blub - and into the Marriott hotel for my birthday treat with Mum - luxury! Without doubt, the most comfortable bed i have had the pleasure to lie down on - although there hasn't been much competition in the last 17 months!
I am so tired and happy after these last few crazy weeks of partying and celebration and general specialness and i really don't want to leave Sydney for lots of reasons - but it's all part of the trip and Mum and i are very excited about hitting the road.
