Hey all,
We safely arrived in Cairns and making the most of our last few days soaking up the sun before we have to leave Oz on thursday. Sad times.
Havent been up to overlly much as theres not much to see in Cairns. We had a walk along the promenade which was nice spet it was in the rain. Its been absoultey chucking it down so weve been dodging the rain but at one point also sunbathed in the rain! All in the name of keeping our tan topped up before we head home to the cold weather, which i believe you are all enjoying?!
Yesterday we did handed out flyers to get a free nights accommodation and also got to go on a pub crawl for free. Love the word free! had only halfs of lagar and could feel it so im afraid all the drinking out here hasnt stopped me from being a light weight! All i can say to that is that its cheap! Whoop! ha!
Seen Peter Andres restaurant which isnt as luxious looking as i thought it would be but i heard the food is pretty good.
At the moment in our hostel we get a free meal every night from the Irish pub which consists of spagetti bolognase, curry or isish stew. Funtimes!
We are here until thursday then we fly out at 12.45pm to head to Singapore for 11 nights. Two girls we met in New Zealand are also heading there at the same time and staying in the same hostel so that will be good.
Apart from the sun and turential rain were having, theres not much else to report. So i guess this will be my last blog from Oz.
Ive enjoyed Oz mainly for the lazying around and sunbathing! But seriously Sydney and Melbourne have to be my highlights as they are both very stunning cities. Ive learnt that the people you meet normally make the place/time memorable. Fraser Island was for sure one of them as we met some wicked people. Also Mooloolaba we had a awesome night out with some welsh people we met. We also met the lovely Mitch of whom we stayed with in Sydney and very grateful to his family for putting up with us twice!
The beaches have seen are stunning, i miss going into the sea as in the north you cant go in so theres just lagoons and swimming pools. Ive had a cracking time but im now ready to stop living out of a bag and to enjoy my home comforts again and see everyone.
So this is the foz signing out, for the last time from Oz, hopefully be able to get a blog going from Singapore.
Been unable to upload my Sydney new years pics but ill keep trying and if not its something to look forward to seeing when im home as they are amazing, plus got videos of us through out the day which is highly entertaining!
love to all and speak to you soon xX
