Day 15 Sunday 25/08 Lazise (Lake Garda) 31 deg Sunny -

John here...Not off to a good start today...Judy had gotten very sick and the best thing was to have a day in bed, so Jen, Jon and I went to Sirmione, which took a while due to heavy traffic. We parked the car and walked into the town. The town is on a peninsula and entrance is via a bridge crossing onto an island that had a medieval castle/fort with a moat. We then walked along the foreshore and decided to go to the point of the peninsula which turned out to be a very long walk through water, stones and bush land. We finally found an exit and thought we had passed the car park, Jen decided to turn on her iPad to find we still had some way to go! I think we all forgot about technology to find our way around, as we may have made a different decision before starting this walk. We found our way into the main street and gelato bar heaven, so of course we had to have one! We returned to our accommodation and the rest had helped Judy to feel so improvement. We both appreciated Jen and Jon cooking a delicious chicken risotto for dinner. It has been great to have these few days with Jen and Jon as tomorrow we head in different directions. We had a spectacular storm which cooled the temperature right down and about 9.30pm a fabulous fireworks display to end our time in Lake Garda :-))
