BULA!!! The Fiji adventure begins.......

We arrived in Nadi early evening on Thursday and met up with Louise, a girl from the Kiwi Experience, at out hostel. Our second 32 bed dorm of our trip but this one didn't really feel like it because the beds were segregated into fours.

A couple of beers with dinner followed by a chilled out evening of cards before a reasonably early night. Next morning we got up pretty early and Pete and Louise sunbathed whilst I started to sort out my visa. Got an appointment for 8.15 (tomorrow morning) and an email containing instructions on what I needed to do before then.

Once I sorted that I headed for a swim in the pool with the others and some sunbathing. It wasn't just any old swim though. Pete, Louise and myself being the cool kids that we are played water wrestling. Pete beat Louise (just about) and I destroyed Pete (obviously). Next game was an underwater singing competition. First to guess the song got 2 points and if nobody guessed your song you lost one point. I believe the scores were Josh 15 Louise 7 Pete -1. Yeah thats right. Pete's awful rendition of Robbie Williams - Angels meant he lost a point and he never guessed one right. Pathetic effort.

That night was my last night with Pete as he was going island hopping and I had to head to Suva (the capital with nothing touristy to do) for 3 nights to sort my visa. We got a bottle of vodka and the 3 of us were joined by Amy, Ash, and Jack (also from Kiwi bus) for some drinks.

Next morning the others all left at 7am to go island hopping. I had a lie in before making sure I was sorted for Monday. Had a couple of beers in the evening and watched some episodes of The Inbetweeners before getting an early night.

So far today I have woken up, chilled at the hostel and I am now on my 5 hour bus to Suva. If everything goes to plan I will spend only 2 nights there and get to the islands for a couple of days and be able to meet up with Pete for his last night.
