Saturday morning Louise and I headed from the beach at our hostel in a little boat to Bounty Island. This is the island where Celebrity Love Island was filmed. It was a bigger resort than Mantaray Island but a smaller island. There were more people and it definitely had a more sociable vibe to it.
On arrival, we saw Lizzy, Lindsey and Jem had decided to follow us from Mantaray. We knew Jack and Amy were arriving that evening and Emily, a girl from Mantaray, had already been there one night. We chilled on the sun beds and I had a swim in the pool, something Bounty had over Mantaray. It was the same pool from Celebrity Love Island.
It was quite a quiet day. At lunch, the locals gave a demonstration of some traditional Fijian dancing. Other than that it was a pretty chilled afternoon. As dinner was being served Amy and Jack joined us. Big game of ring of fire which included drinking foot bowl water, belly button shots, and licking sand from someones foot. After drinking games we all headed down to the bar, grabbed a drink and got in the pool. We were in there for about an hour before heading to bed but it was a really fun night.
Next morning I got up for breakfast (just about) and then went to watch the turtle feeding on the island. After this my day consisted of a swim in the pool and Jack teaching me the card game Speed, with me beating him in the first 9 games. Beginners luck? No. Me being amazing? No surprisingly not. Jack is rubbish? Spot on.
That night, being our last night on the islands, we started with drinking games. A few of the others were tired so headed to bed. Jack, Amy, Louise, and myself headed down to the bar to see what was going on. Nothing. Absolutely diddly squat. The four of us sat there and probably had the geekiest drunken night any of us have ever said. Details to remain secret just because it's a little humiliating.
This morning I rolled out of bed with enough time to just about pack my bag before checking out. It was cloudy so no sunbathing and instead Jack continued to challenge me at Speed. Final score 12-4.
This afternoon I got onto the boat with 6 others as we all headed back to Smugglers Cove on the main island. We are now all on the bus from the dock to the hostel. It is Jack and Amy's last night tonight, the 3 Sydney girls have 2 nights, and Louise and I jar 3 nights left.
3 more days of Fiji time so will be taking things very slow and stress-free.
Hope everyone is good
