From the Drakensburgs, it was time for another absolutely beautiful drive! We were heading to Umzumbe which is on the coast about 1 hour below Durban. This journey was full of trying to avoid the many cows wandering accross the road, not moving out the way for anything! Absolutely crazy! Somebody needs to teach those cows a lesson. We stayed at a place called Mantis and Moon backpackers. This was another amazing place full of dogs wandering around and a cool slide going into the swimming pool. There was a beach close by that had an amazing man made pool by the edge so that the waves broke over it and sprayed everyone in the pool. Such a good idea! Especially as the waves fill it up for you. Luke did some yoga in the evening and then we went to get some pizza. Luke is obsessed with something called a triple decker which is as yummy as you can imagine.
The next day we left for Oribi gorge to do the highest gorge swing in the world! This was so so brilliant! It was in the sun and the gorge is beautiful in itself. The swing is just next to a small waterfall that creates rainbows in the spray. The swing itself didn't feel like a swing... The first drop was like bungee jumping all over again but then you just seem to be moving horizontally after that because it's so big. It was quite uncomfortable in places no one would like it to be uncomfortable but the views on the way back up and during were so stunning!
The next journey was to Port St Johns which is a real party place.
