We arrived in Cape agullas to find a really small village not really the hustling bustling tourist town that we expected at the suthernmost point of Africa! The actual point is in a national park just off the small village and is a bit of grassland with rocks reaching into the sea. There was a fisherman just off the end of it which was very idylic. Later on he had to wade in to the land as he didn't realise the tide had come up! We waited until the sun had set and the sky had finished it's awesome colour changing before we left. There were only a few other people who came to watch the sunset! It was cold though! We then went for a meal at the southernmost resteraunt in Africa. This was quite an expensive meal, I had a steak while Luke had a seafood platter, both being amazing however! It has got to be one of the best meals I ever had! It was also accompanied with a bottle of wine of our choosing.
We then headed back to the point where we would be sleeping in our car as there weren't any backpackers or cheap places to stay at all! This was a very uncomfortable night where neither of us got much sleep but it was worth it to watch the sunrise! Half way though the sunrise some other tourists came to look at the sunrise as well. They perched right in our view of it so all our pictures have a person in the middle of the sun which is a shame! It was beautiful though and well worth the very little sleep we got. Now off to Cape town!
