We are now in Phuket

We booked the mini bus to take us all the way to Patong beach, but because it was their new years celebration we were told that the roads were closed so they would just drop us in the centreof Phuket then we would have to get a bus (how can a bus get through but a mini van cant)

So the bus took ages to get to Phuket then there were four of us walking around Phuket trying to find the bus. We eventually did it was a open sided bus and we had to put our bags on the roof. In the Thai New year its also their water festival, everyone is going crazy there are cars going past with people hanging out the windows with waterguns people hangingaround the street with buckets full of weater throwing them over everyonewho comes near them. So we were on the bus and i swear everyone is targeting it. it was like the worst water ride ever and we were just stuck in a traffic jam getting soaked. Also the bags on the roof which has everything we own in are just getting drenched.

When we finally got to Patong our bags were saoked through and really heavy. So there we were 4 soaked travellers walking aroundlooking for somewhere to stay getting soaked by people on the street and every car that went past! it was funny at first but went past a joke. We were all getting more and more pissed off and then one car went pastand we got soaked with water with green dye in! Nice all over my Real lacoste top! im not happy.

Luckily after about an hour of this and walking in and out of hostels and being told it was full we find a place in our budget and right on the beach. wecouldnt wait to get into our rooms and havea shower. That night we stayed the beach side to stay dry when we did cross the road we started to get soaked again. What a s*** day! it was ok when little kids and their water pistols weredoingit but we even had travellers soaking our bags and they know how much stuff are in our backpacks! i was so close to having loads of fights the were so many t*** about it put a dampener on Phuket Literally.

The water festival only went on for 1 day so it was safe to go out the next day. we went down the beach and sunbathed all day and now we are both lobsters and staying in our dark room scared of the sun!

Flying to Singapore tomorrow dont know how long we are going to stay there for
