Ok we are in Samui now.

After Bangkok we got the bus and boat to Ko Tao, this was beautiful and really chilled out. Lovely beaches nice food and some cool bars. I went on a dive here where the day before they saw a Whale Shark, I dint see anything that big but saw some BIG barracuda anbd a few other cool fish. Ko Tao is the main island for learning to dive in Thailand so if you dont dive theres not really alot to do during the day. Hired a moped for a few days and nearly came off trying to go OFF ROAD! Kris had to get off and walk to the top of the hill. Had some really nice places to eat here and a really laid back feel. Lovely beaches too. we sneaked into a lush hotel to use their pool.

after here we went to Ko Phangan, this is where the monthly Full Moon Party is. We where going to stay in a hostel on the beach 10 quid a night for a room with a fan. As we got off the boat i was given a map with a few hotel brochurs in, one was for a resort 5 mins from where we were staying which had a lovely pool massive rooms and air con for the same price. so we stayed there instead. place we were going to stay were not happy though and turned up at our hotel demanding money for the taxi ride we got from them (if we stayed there you get a free taxi, because we got the taxi but didnt stay)

Ko Phangan had some of the nicest beaches ihave ever seen, and the water was so warm it doesnt cool you down. One night we went to a seafood place on the beach, looked lovely. I ordered Baracuda or something and kris orded a chicken dish, hers came out quite quick and covered in sauce, she moaned about it tasting abit rubbery so i had abit and it just didnt taste right but eating at night on the beach there wasant much light, when we finally got a candle and looked the chicken was all pink and raw! it was horrible, we didnt pay and just left, luckily neither of us got sick.

After Ko Phangan we got the boat to Samui, this time we didnt book anywhere we were hoping for a map with discount places on like we had in Koh Phangan. It never happened, on the way into town we got speaking to an Irish couple and a Aussie family, the Aussies offered to look after our bags where they were staying so we didnt have to lug them about with us. When we got to the place they were staying... just Wow. It was private Villa with there own pool and view of the beach it was just lovely. They know the owners and stay there free because they look after the owners son who goes to school in Melbourne. The place cost 200 quid a night but houses 6 people so a group of friends or family it would be the best placxe to stay. We really wanted them to offer us a room!

We walked down the beach and found somewhere quite nice but no where near as good as where they were staying, we eventually went back to get our bags after about 3 hours and we sat and chilled by there pool and i had a beer with them, they were the nicest people, we got their email and will take them out for a drink when we get to Melbourne

Our first night in Samui we had an unwanted vistiter. A cockroach! i tried to be brave and get it but when i was just about to grab it, i swear it went for me! then Kris tried to get it while i stood on the bed, like a real man! we both bottled it and it went underour bed! Kris went to reception and the tiny little thai lady came to our room, went under our bed with a spray and killed it she was our hero!

Next day we moved to a nicer place round the corner with Air con and a pool (yeah we are roughing it) I hired a moped again from an english bloke who owned a pub next door, it had gears which ive never had on a moped before, had a test drive and gotthe hang of it quite quickly. Off we wnt round the Island saw the Big Buddah and a couple of waterfalls. It was weird being back in Ko Samui, it had been about 4yrs since Me, Nick and Tim went. not alot had changed really. We went out one night and got dragged into a girly bar, it was a laugh though and Kris beat them all at connect 4 and jenga! we left after a old english bloke came in and picked the one he wanted for the night.

We left here to go to Phuket.
