Well we are in Pattaya now, Land of Lady Boys and crap wooden frogs. WORLD CAPITAL OF SLEAZE! BRING IT ON I SAY.
We went for the budget option the first night we had to stay about 15minutes for the town centre so we had to get these strange open back buses to town and back for thais it costs about 10p for us its 2 pound i know i sound like a cheap skate but it annoys you after a while. On the site where we booked the room for the night it said about having an amazing pool which would cool us down on the hot days. When we got to the "pool" it was more of a pond! it had some stange things floating on the surface such as a dead fish! i think someone actually thought it was a pond! and we had a little lizard running around our room making strange noises which got really annoying at 3 am, but ive been told they eat mozzies so i will let them off.
we found a hotel in centre of town, 1 minute away from the beach, 30 seconds form all the bars and shops for about 20p a night more also they have got a real swimming pool! so the days we just sunbathe and have a dip in the pool, the weathers almost 40 degrees a day! our first night though we had a few unwanted guests in the room we saw 3 cockroaches which set kris off on a mission to destroy them so every few minutes kris would spot one and run over with her book to splat them, but i swear they are indistructable they would not die! so they won and on the next day we moved rooms which is nice and clean with no bugs... Much better
We went out for a few drinks the other night, it was definatly an eye opener we saw 90yr old men with 16yr old thai girls and boys! we saw plenty of girls walking around looking for someone to love! i got offered ping pong shows every ten seconds as well as the satndard ping pong shows we got showed a list of other shows the girls do such as putting frogs, eels and other strange and wonderful things inside themselves.... thats my sort of lady!!! but i dont think kris wanted to go maybe another time!
on the way home we walked up an interesting road with a sign saying Boys town! it was full of alot of really friendly guys! but ive never been so frightened before in all my life. getting offered massages by young thai lads in short shorts and going past bars named rodeo boyz and the cockwell inn!!!! get me outta here! but i think our Marc and Peter would of been right at home!
On our last day chilling by the pool and old bloke walked in a baggy pair of green pants, brown suspenders, black socks pulled up to his knees, black shoes and a cap on backwards! what a place! ..... actually he looked alot like my Dad before he goes out on the town!!!!
Having another night here then bus to Bangkok for a night then fly to Hanoi, Vietnam on 22nd
Will keep you all posted!
