done so much in the last 3 days so had to email you to keep you updated!
did the thaii cooking course whch was really good and interesting and all the dishes very easy to make and got a little recipe book which was good i will cook you all some next time i see you.
Its still very hot but just booked into an air con room and the hotel also has a pool so all good for a fiver each our last place was 1 pound each so abit of a difference but it was sooo hot in that room.
we just come back from a 2 day 1 night trek into the jungle and it was so good. we got a bus for hour and a half then went on an elephant for an hour which was great and i sat on its neck again. there also was a baby one who was just ike a toddler playing up and doing the trumpet noise loads! neither pf us fell off this time so definatly an improvement from last time!
then we trekked for 3 hours deep into the jungle and up a mountain, the first 2 hours were tough but manageable it was relatively flatish but the last hour was hard almost had to use your hands to climb up/ most of the time i was looking at my feet i didnt want to trip or slip over but when i did look arond the scenery was amazing! i hd a quick wash ina waterfall on the way (like you do!) we soon made it up there and was on the top of a mountain and stayed with a village of lahu tribe they are mostly from burma. they were great hosts and near the end of the night they got their guitar out (i did the office quote but no one really got it) they played mostly burmese and thai songs with oasis wonderwall in for everyone to sing along. i had a go on the bongo drums and we had abit of a jam! there was 12 of us in the group so we stayed there overnight which was very nice (no opium though but they do grow it there) after sleeping there we walked back down to a waterfall took about an hour and very slippy on the way down. Most people had treking boots i turned up in my WHITE adidas which were ruined by the end of the first day. after our morning shower in the waterfall (i coundt believe it was a monday morning! no work for us) we then went white water rafting along the river and then when the water calmed down abit we all got on a bamboo raft and just floated down the river surrounded by lush green jungle, much better than hiking up!
staying here for 3 more nights as its cheaper to stay up here than bangkok then overnight bus to bangkok on thurs night and stay in bangkok for 2 nights and meeting joe and clair hopefully on theor last night want to take them to thai boxing and a ping pong show! then down to the islands Ko Tao for abit of diving.
really loving over here feels like we have been away for ages because we have done so much.
Went to a Reggae bar last night was quite cooland we met up with people from the trek i was resting my head on a head rest and then turned around to see 3 MASSIVE Cockroaches behind my head! i screamed like a girl and had to move away and was on edge all night with my shirt done up to the neck and collar up.
Today have been chilling by the pool and just chilaxing! its been lovely.
Ok last day in Chiang Mai, we are just sorting out some bits and bobs before our lovely 12 hour bus ride down to bangkok, thats 12 hours if theres no traffic or if the roads havent been washed away!
