Hello from Nha Trang!!
Well just to mix it up a bit we decided to get the train for the first time in Vietnam from Tuy Hoa to Nha Trang. Worst decision ever. Our bad journey started when we were sitting waiting for the train. One guy sitting next to Shay, in his pyjamas and stinking of beer said "i want a beer, but have no money, can you give buy me one" haha. Shortly after a rather large lady came stomping up to Shay, stuck her hand out and said "gimme money" and persisted with this for about 5 minutes, before she finally went away, empty handed. Guess they were just trying their luck. Our train journey was supposed to take 2.5hours and ended up being a 6 hour journey. The train would just randomly stop for a half hour at a time then start going again at a nice slow pace. So we are going to be sticking to the bus from now on.
So by the time we eventually got to Nha Trang a lot later than planned, we went out for some food and on the way home we banged into Tasha and Jen from our India tour. It was nice to see and catch up with them for a bit.
For the next 2 days in Nha Trang we just chilled out, getting some beach time. Although Shay's plan of tanning didn't go to well as most afternoons it was slightly overcast and would rain. We went out for some drinks one of the nights, it was nice a cheap which suited us.
Our last day we booked an Islands tour. Our first stop was an aquarium which was alright, nothing impressive though. We then went to another island for some snorkeling which was a lot better than the last time we did it. There were loads of fish and the corals were really nice. Shay wasn't even that scared, she thinks she is overcoming her fear haha. Our tour guides then put on some entertainment for us by singing oasis and some songs of their own. It was really funny, they were not the best singers, which is what made it even more entertaining. We then threw out floats into the ocean so we could have a "floating bar" it was pretty good until we all started getting stung by jelly fish again. Our last stop was a really nice island that had a beautiful beach and a hotel resort. We paid to use there pool area and just chilled out until it was time to head back to mainland. We met some girls on the boat, one of the girls family actually lives in Inverurie. It was really strange.....such a small world.
The following day we were off early morning to Dalat. Which is up in the highlands of Vietnam and we have heard its a lot cooler there, so it should be a nice break from the heat.
Until then......
