Hello from The Cameron Highlands in the Midlands of the peninsular of Malaysia.

Arrived here quite late on as had a quite a long journey along with them having a couple of hours delay. We got a taxi up to the Hotels nearer the Golf Club and checked into one that looked quite nice with a big King Size bed for us to share... how romantic haha. To be honest I was dreading it as Ian's snoring has been horrendous being in a separate bed and now it will be right in my lug lol.

Went out at night and had to walk the 6Kms through hilly jungle to get to the centre as could not find any taxis and our hotel said they were all closed whatever that meant lol. Ate at an Malay/Indian local restaurant that was again really good. Then headed to the only bar in The Cameron Highlands that was dire lol. Poured a crap pint and we were the only ones in it again apart from the resident Alchy tucking into his supper of Carlsberg and Pistachio nuts lol. We only stayed for one beer then headed next door into a dingey snooker hall. Took some bottled beer from the bar up and had 4games of snooker. Called it a night quite early on for our high standards haha in preparation for our golfing display the following day.

Well we should have maybe stayed out longer the previous night as both had a mare on the course haha. Was a nice course with nice surroundings but we both never got started until the last few holes lol. I did however managed to beat Ian which I shouldn't really be proud of as were both into three figure scores haha! After the golf we chilled out in Hotel room then went out for some grub that was the worst we have had. Booked our bus to Ipoh and then will get a bus to Lumit for a ferry to Pulau Pangkor.

We headed back to the hotel to watch the Premier League football and hit the sack for our early bus tomorrow morning. Been a short stay in Highlands but did what we came for just not as well as we would have liked lol. Been good to see my tracksuit bottoms again since China with the temperatures here haha. Now hopefully some improved sunny weather in our 3rd island of Malaysia .
