Hello from Melaka on Malaysia's South Western coast.

We left very dull Port d*** on and headed for the 2nd biggest city on the Malaysian peninsular Melaka. First impressions when we arrived were good and had booked a Hostel for £6 a night which has been very nice to stay in. Air Con, Comfy beds, Free Wi-Fi and Hot showers so hope the one we have booked in Singapore that has cost 6times as much Is as good but not likely lol.

Again we have not really done much here apart from stroll about the Area in town our Hostel is situated. Its in the main central part of town situated along the river. The area is very scenic with old cobbled streets and Chinese styled building running along the pavement. Very big Chinese influence here with many Chinese style local restaurants that we have eaten at and have been very good. Lots of Chinese temples so has kinda felt like we have been back in a suburb of Beijing.

As said have done nothing apart from chill in our room or walk about when we have needed to eat lol. The main thing we have done here however is book another flight to Melbourne. We are both fed up with Malaysia now as not been our favourite country so have been looking into our options. With our flight to Melbourne on the 19th having already been paid for we checked how much it would be to change the flight to an earlier date and it was almost 4times each how much we paid initially for the flight, Crazy! So we had looked if could get some cheap return flights to Bali amongst other places but is just a bit of a waste of money with Australia in mind so... Have just gone and booked flights with Emirates on the 12th which will really save us money as would spend a hell of a lot more if went to Singapore 6days early.

Anyway back to the blog lol! This is end of line for Malaysia as are leaving here tomorrow heading for Singapore where we are spending 3 nights and almost 4 full days before leaving Asia and heading down under. Malaysia has been a good experience don't get me wrong but not a place I will be rushing back to. Enjoyed all the places me and Ian visited and KL was really good to see but there isn't much else I would recommend on the West Coast anyway bar maybe Pulua Langkawi. Still have ambitions to go to Borneo but they will have to wait and am sure can be included in future trips. So Singapore tomorrow which I am sure will hurt the wallet a little bit but its almost the end of our 9month trip in Asia which is unbelievable how fast its gone looking back now. Both very excited to be flying to Auz in 4days time and have been scanning the net trying to get as well prepared as we possibly can.

Anyway Bye Bye Peninsular Malaysia.. Hello Singapore.
