Left Cloncurry in a relaxed mode Although the park's neighbours had a dog which would hold some sort of world record for continuous barking through the night. Only a short day to Mt Isa today to catch up on some washing etc. at the 60 klm marke we stopped at a revive stop for some free coffee. We met up with another rider who worked the local mines as a boilermaker. He was formely from the UK and was out for a blat on his goldwing. As we were chatting an ST1300 rocks in with some bark off the left side. A fallen rider who was riding to Philip Island from Sydney but came to grief after hitting a dog in Cloncurry. After we explained where PI actually was he said he was riding across to the west to pick up a mate before riding back. You could say that true mateship doesnt get any better than that. Instead i said he was a dickhead. We are camped in the Big 4 in Mt Isa and its a nice spot. I am doing the washing atm. The park is beautiful. As was the ride across from Cloncurry. For the first time in 5 days the scenery has changed to some greenery instead of the carnage of roadkill.
