UK Road Trip, Summer 2017
Our walking tour of Stratford-upon-Avon proved that every building here is in some way associated with William Shakespeare. The tour was interesting and provided an overview of both the town and Shakespeare's life.
It is the weekend of the River Festival so this normally crowded tourist town has turned into a mob scene. Fortunately we took refuge in a pub to relax and enjoy the SUNNY day (a rarity in this country).
Perfect end to the day - pizza and fireworks.

Lois Goodstein To busk or not to busk … that is the question. Stratford welcomes buskers to the town, but make sure you read the code and busk ONLY at designated areas. Reminders: Busk responsibly, without causing a nuisance and annoyance to others. If you intimidate other buskers or members of the public or act or speak aggressively, you will be told to stop performing immediately and your permit will be withdrawn. You may place a box or in front of you for people to make a contribution, but these contributions cannot be solicited as this constitutes begging, for which you may prosecuted. (Don’t make me come over there and bail you out.) And whatever you do, remember that drums should play a very small part of your act.
Laura How patriotic of them to shoot off fireworks for the U. S 4th of July. Maybe they were happy to be rid of us.
