Explored the Cathedral of Canterbury which is an important Anglican Church because of Thomas Becket. Also learned a little about Chaucer, although I don't know exactly what the tales are about. We walked the sculpture/river walk but couldn't find most of the sculpture. Continued to research beer by frequenting our favorite pub. Had a lovely dinner at another pub with good conversation, mostly about WWII. Early evening with the hopes of getting back to normal ...

Easy landing, passport control and luggage pickup. Rent-a-car turned into ordeal. Twice as expensive as guaranteed price and "too big" of a car, but good GPS, maybe. Learning curve for driving on "wrong" side was good enough to get us to Canterbury safely. Difficult staying awake (2 naps). Medieval town with interesting pubs and friendly people.
