Day 68 - Sihanoukville
Today was spent like every other day here, in the pool and sunbathing. I was feeling pretty hungover though, so after a while came back to bed to sleep it off. Today was Seans birthday (happy birthday wee brother!!) so I went to skype and got to chat to him and the family for a while which was nice. We then went to a travel agent and booked our bus to Siem reap for the next night and a snorkelling trip for during the day. We had planned to go for drinks but the snorkelling tour was starting at 7.30am so we decided to go the 'cinema'. This was actually a place where you could choose a DVD, you get a private room where there are a tonne of cushions on the floor and the DVD is projected on a big screen. It was really good! We went to see bridesmaids, which took a bit of persuasion as Michael thought it was a chick flick but he ended up enjoying it just as much as I did.
Day 69 - Sihanoukville
We go up at 6.30am to have breakfast before our snorkelling tour picked us up at 7.30. We were picked up in a tuk tuk and taken to a restaurant for breakfast which was included. Emily and Amy had a second breakfast, I was too full from my first one so didn't take any. It had been heavy raining for a while, but usually the morning rain doesn't last long. This time we weren't sure it would go off, so we were told to wait for a while inside. It was very heavy and we had a look at the sea which was really choppy. After a while we decided it would be too unsafe to go out in the sea like that in a little wooden boat so we decided to cancel. They were really not happy about given us our money back, and in the end they gave us 70% back. They charged us $12 between 4 basically for the two breakfasts, which consisted of a half baguette and one egg. So we went back to the hotel and stayed inside until the rain went off and played some pool. Unfortunately the rain kept up, so we went back to the cinema and watched the new Harry potter! Me and Emily went to the shop to get some cream for all our bites, and Emily came back with a new ear piercing! On the way down we saw a place and she decided she wanted to get one on the inside cartilage of her ear, and that now would be the best time haha. So I went and squeezed her hand and stupidly watched the guy do it and ended up shaking more than Emily! The rain kept up, and we had three hours to kill before our bus to Siem reap, so we wen t to the cinema again and watched the hangover 2. We had some dinner and got on our over night bus. We had heard this road was pretty dodgy, and in the times I was awake we saw a lorry that had turned on it's side and a car crash which ended with a unconscious foreigner who had been on a scooter. I didn't sleep much cause I was too scared!
