Day 73 - Bangkok 

During the night the electricity went off. Usually it doesn't take long to come on but this time it never did, so we couldn't sleep without the fan on it was way too hot! So when the alarm went off at 5 we were knackered. We also had to have showers and get all our stuff together using a torch. We got on the bus which drove us to the Thai border, where we had to take all our bags and walk across. It was long and hot! We got crammed in a mini van that would be taking us to Bangkok. There was no space to move and we got thrown around a lot with every bump on the road! But eventually we got there. We where hoping to get the night bus to Koh Phangan, so we went back to the hostel we had stayed at before to dump our bags and we ended up booking a bus through them. So we went back to Khao San Road, which I loveee, had a mcdonalds and did some shopping in the markets. We went back to the hostel planning to play pool and the woman who had booked our bus told us it was fully booked. So a bit confused we asked for our money back and said we'd go to the bus station. She said she had called an everything was full, and that our only option was to stay a night and get the bus the next day. We started to think this might be a con, and decided to try the bus station anyway. As soon as we got there we were booked on a bus 3 hours later! So we hung about the station for a while playing the arcades before the bus.
