And so sadly, we depart for England’s grey and miserable shores. Our wonderful honeymoon trip is over; 200 days, 7 countries, 50 different places to stay, 32 confirmed drinking sessions, 22 different swimming pools and 3 oceans (that have been weed in), 75 blog entries and 14 games of crazy golf. When we sat in Heathrow airport seven months ago, arguing about whether we had time for another pint before our plane left, seven months seemed like a lifetime. Where did it all go?
Because it is the last blog, it is a good time to remember an important lesson: it is not the places that you go to that make a trip special but the person you see it with...
DONNA
It’s been a complete honour
To travel with the lovely Donna
She is so great I just wanna
Take some time to write this song for her
When I suggested seven months, she was a bit awed
Through all the countries we will have toured
She thought there’d be a problem that I ignored
And that is that we might get a bit bored
Well that certainly hasn’t been the score
I’ve enjoyed every moment to the core
The thought of going home leaves me feeling raw
Because I could happily do another seven months more
Having just one companion along the way
Spending every moment together day after day
She’s my best friend, come what may
And we never run out of things to say
She is so kind and funny and fun
The best person for all the things that we have done
And despite all the card games and crazy golf I have won
She’s not the type to get unhappy or glum
I miss her when she’s not near me
Without her the world seems dreary
And although to mention it might be unseemly
She does looks amazing in a bikini
And it’s true sometimes we’ve argued
And it’s true sometimes I was in a mood
And it’s true, in the mornings we can both be rude
And it’s true, Donna is fussy with her food
But as trips of a lifetime go
From Thailand through to Mexico
There has been very little woe
So Donna, I just wanted to let you know
I’m not trying to be too clever
But this has surely been the best trip ever
Wonderful places and beautiful weather
It’s equal we will see, never!
Although going home makes me feel a bit sad
These memories will always make me glad
For it has been the best seven months I have ever had
And you have been a very special comrade
And for all of the rest of my life
I’ll remember this time as sharp as a knife
And whether there is happiness or whether there is strife
You will always be the best friend, the best companion and the best wife

Roy Morris Jim, thanks for looking after and loving our very precious daughter so well and so much - you're a very special man and a fantastic addition to our family. (I just need to get you to support West Ham and you'll be the perfect son-in-law)
