We had a relaxing day on our second day on Gilli Air. After breakfast we took up a spot on a gazebo at our resort and spent the day swimming and snorkelling. After a lovely dinner at a restaurant called Sails, which is owned by a couple from NZ, we spent our second day in Amed in a hired car with a driver and went to the nearby beaches to have a look. The road was quite small and there were many spots we could see along the coast. All of the beach areas had fishing boats along them and many areas of the road had tubs of fish out the front. On Monday morning we left Munduk and headed north to our destination, Lovina. On the way we stopped at Banjar Hot Springs and spent about an hour there in the three hot pools. We arrived at Lovina and checked into a small hotel called Adirama where we are paying about $50 per night for a room by the pool with KS bed and air-con. Yesterday morning we left Ubud by car and began the 2 hour drive to Munduk which is a small village up in the Balinese hills. You could see 3 mountain peaks as we drove along and our driver stopped for us to see the mountains and rice terraces. Unfortunately the mountains were covered in mist so we couldn't get a good view of them but it was lovely to see the terraces growing rice and vegetables. We had a lovely dinner at Cinta last night and were pleased that it wasn't far from where we're staying as we had a couple of heavy showers of rain. This morning we caught a taxi up past the market and went to the Antonio Blanco Museum and Art Gallery. It is set in lovely grounds and there are some exotic birds in the grounds and in cages.
