The sun was shining in the morning for our boat trip at Milford Sound and saw dolphins, seals and beautiful views, after coach trip along the only road in, with stunning scenery back to Queenstown. With the car loaded we drove to Wanaka very nice place on a lake of the same name and after a stroll, early tea then bed. Next day we drove to the West coast, lovely views again (it's a beautiful country) had a look at Fox and Franz Josef glaciers, we thought Mount Cook was better but they're melting rapidly so won't be here much longer, stopped off at Greymouth overnight then continued up the west coast saw the Pancake rocks and blowholes. Then over to Nelson on the South Pacific coast and the town had a nice feel to it, stayed at Motueka for two nights in a chalet (shed) a bit small, on a campsite. On the 4th did 11miles on Abel Tasman Coast Track and although nice it was hot and knackering, 5th made our way to Picton to get the ferry to Wellington. John & Gail
