So my first proper blog entry...I'm in Bangkok :) currently sat waiting for a 12 hour bus to take us to Koh Samui.

We arrived two days ago, plane journey was surprisingly ok, hotel was nice, we were in quite a good location too so alls good so far (touch wood). Been sightseeing to a few buddhist temples, walked the streets of Bangkok LOADS, been on a long boat to the Grand Palace, and we've got quite a few tuktuks which are surprisingly not that scary. The weather here is painfully humid and hot and sticky, we can't wait to get to Samui and get on a Beach and swim!!!

Went to Kohsahn road last night which is the backpacking district - it was very busy, people trying to sell you everything everywhere. Went to what looked like a busy, cheap restaurant/bar to eat...as i'm eating i feel a tickle on my leg...it was a COCKROACH ARGHHHHH was horrendous, saw another one in the toilets too I wanted to cry!! Got quite tipsy on a few buckets of cocktails before heading to a 'Pingpong show' - wow what an experience that was!!!

We're starting to get good at bartering with the tuktuks and taxis which we're proud of! Confession - we had MacDonalds already :( very ashamed but it's our only proper meal of today as we got up so late and have such an epic journey ahead of us.

Anyway better go catch my bus now...until next time xxx
