This is going to be short and sweet cos I am starving hungry!! Went to full Moon 2 nights ago - big fat disappointment was like Ibiza at night full of drunk young idiots doing ridiculous things. Didn't arrive til quite late...and didn;t stay for long! The buckets of cocktails they do are LETHAL - definately got quite drunk myself then had an epic speedboat ride back to Samui after!! Next day Ben was very ill so we pretty much stayed in bed all day - ordered a Mc-Delivery (which took a bloody hour and a half to arrive!!). Today we had brunch at the hotel in Samui before checking out and heading to catch a ferry to our next destination - Koh Tao. After a 2 and half hour boat journey, then a taxi ride on the back of a open van we arrived at Tropicana resort - looks pretty but 100S of mosquitoes :( so not looking forward to waking up tomorrow covered in bites. Went to the beach to chiill which was really pretty and relaxing before heading to this very internet cafe to book more of our trip. So seeing as we haven't eatn since 11 am this morning...it's food time!!! UNTIL NEXT TIME
As still in Koh Tao thought I'd just add to this blog. Yesterday we meandered around Koh Tao town in the morning as wasn't particularly sunny but still v.hot, and the tide was fully in on our beach so we had no-where to lay!! Had some lunch then went back ot the beach for the afternoon but was still bit overcast. Went back into the town in the evening for dinner and were really surprised at how dead the town was. We wandered around for ages and there was just no nightlife anywhere so after a couple of drinks we ended up going back to our room to watch Wall-E!! Got up bright and early this morning to go on a snorkelling trip around the Island. It thunderstormed all night and was still raining heavily all morning so the boat ride was very rocky and wet! The rain began to subside and we managed to see a few little fishies as we snorkelled in the bays. Sarah got very sea sick and had to miss out on the last snorkel stop but Ben and I made the most of what we could see. Shame is wasn't sunny cos would have been pretty beautiful. The last stop we docked at a series of 3 small islands connected by lines of beach (that I can't remember the name of) and had 2 hours to explore. Ben and I climbed to the top of one of them on some rocks and the view was amazing. So despite weather had a really fun day. Hopefully heading to a chinese buffet then to a 'Blue Moon' open air party tonight - however at the moment the rain is hammering down again so not sure how an outdoor disco is gonna go down!! Ahh yes one more thing - not only does our hotel room not have a flushing toilet (yes you have to do it manually with a bucket) but our 'third bed' is a paper thin mattress on the floor, so we're all sharing a double bed - fun times!!! Heading back to Bangkok on the dreaded overnight bus tomorrow night...let's hope we have less breakdowns and lack of airconditioning this time!!!
