So after a 20 hour gruelling overnight journey from Bangkok we finally arrived in Koh Samui yesterday afternoon. It is HOT here but in a much nicer/less humid/less smoggy kind of way. Found a nice beach opposite our hotel which we chilled on yesterday afternoon and had a chilled night as was shattered. Today we attempted to go to Big Buddah beach - MASSIVE disappointment it was filthy with waste everywhere and just not a place you'd want to spend any time on. Had some lunch in the sun then had an absolute mission trying to hail a cab in the blazing heat. Our pool at our hotel is broken so we managed to sell our sob story to a neighbouring hotel who let us use theirs - I've never been so glad to immerse my body in cold water before!! Tan is now coming on nicely :) Off to the Full Moon party tomorrow night which is going to be MENTAL. Met a nice couple at the other hotel this afternoon who've done quite a bit of travelling already so found out some interesting stories, they might be coming with us to the party tomorrow too. Hopefully heading to the other island of Koh Tao on Monday after we check out of here. I can't remember if I already said I found a cockroach on my LEG the other night - but last night exactly the same thing happened...me no like bugs :( I also have 7 huge bites on the same cursed leg! Other than that...loving Samui and the sun - sorry to rub it in all you cold cold people in England!!!
