Today I went to Victoria Falls and trekked through the rainforest beside the falls. I started at the Devil falls and went the whole 2km to the bridge. Just incredible! My first full day in Victoria Falls I went with another girl Line from Norway to the Gorge we had a great lunch with a fantastic view of the gorge, we then went together to do the Tandem Zipline. This morning we went to Julena school which is an hours drive further into the bush. It was an old barn converted into a school as the nearest school was an 11km walk for the children. However, it is still a 7km walk for some children. The school houses 160 children ranging from 4 to 13 years old, split into 8 classes with only 6 teachers. Friday morning I went to Mickey Mouse Preschool where I was greeted with a song and dance. I then went into the class of older children to do a colouring activity and helped hand out snack. After snack I played with the younger kids aged 3-4 in the garden. The kids called me "aunty" as that's what they call their teachers which was really cute.
