My first full day in Victoria Falls I went with another girl Line from Norway to the Gorge we had a great lunch with a fantastic view of the gorge, we then went together to do the Tandem Zipline. It was terrifyingly awesome! With no talk on the procedure, we were harnessed, attached and shoved off the edge across the gorge! It was an incredible adrenaline rush but such a fantastic view point. We were just down from the bridge right at the bend of the river where it double backs. After the initial rush we were then suspended above the Zambezi river wondering how we get back, which they failed to mention. I then turned around to find a guy on a small seat attached to the Zipline coming towards us to pull us back up. Touching the ground again was a very nice feeling after the Zipline and only once coming off did we hear them say you go between 80-100km/ph on the initial descent.
In the evening we headed to the Boma restaurant for a traditional evening of food, drums, dance and singing. After being dressed at the door with an African garb we then had our face painted a little bit we then got to our table where they washed our hands and gave us some local beer that takes 7days to make. It was ok but I'm not a beer drinker. We then had some starters crocodile - which was really nice! We also had Impala and some soup. After some initial starters brought to the table it was a buffet service so you were able to help yourself to anything. I also tried a Mopane worm which is horribly crunchy but actually tasted very nice. I am now a proud owner of a certificate to verify I ate one - can I add that to my CV?
After worms, salad and crocodile. I tried a warthog steak which was delicious especially with the homemade BBQ sauce. I also had eland meatball and sadza (sadza is the maize they eat almost like mash potato). After dinner we watched the music show and then had our faces painted I had a little monkey on my cheek with a little tribal pattern over my eyebrow. We then engaged with the next show, we were all given a bongo drum and played along with the pros. It was a lot of fun. Finally the drum playing was over and we were all asked to go to the dance floor. I obliged of course sadly not knowing we were starting a dance circle for complete and utter humiliation of white people trying to dance. It makes me smile and others smile so I got in, had a little boogie and got out as fast as possible. Later I went to the fortune teller. He said I was a traveller and I would travel a lot. That I am very happy and strong and will continue to be so. I will start a business in 6 years and it will be very successful. I think too much and when I relax I will find a good man to marry, we will have ups and downs but be very happy. My first child would be a girl. Finally I will live a long happy life and have 12 grandchildren. We then took off our robes and headed back to Gertie's lodge where we are staying. Was a fantastic evening!

Milly Ahhhh jess, I love the fortune teller, fingers crossed he's got the gift! I'm glad you've been getting stuck in at the school and the sightseeing. No doubt it's been rewarding and eye opening, plus I bet you got a bit of a maths lesson too
