Hola from Puno..

After 7 hours on the bus I arrive in Puno. Jump in a cab and head to my hostel which was also the point.. I check in and go for a wander.. I make it to the main street, Lima Street and all of a sudden thousands of children start running past in a red and white uniform cheering.. no idea what that was all about anyway I continue on and found a cafe that I had read about that do amazing apple pies so naturally I stopped on in as I had not yet had breakfast and it was 3pm...

The apple pie was rather good and afterwards I ventured out and about browsing through shops. I headed back to the hostel and rested for a couple of hours as I was pretty tired from the early morning bus ride and when I woke up it was dinner time.. I headed back down to Lima Street and found a restaurant that looked good.. Had a nice meal.. And surprisingly enjoyed my own company.. People kept looking at me as I was on my own but it amused me more.. After dinner I had a wander around and then headed back to the hostel where I met Edgar my Colombian roommate who's English was pretty good. He was also going out to the islands on Lake Titicaca the next day and was packing.. We got a couple of beers and chatted whilst packing.. Couple hours later called it a night.

Woke up in the morning about 6am got ready, had breakfast and went down stairs and awaited my transfer out to the Islands.. When it got there it took us to the port and there were a few people I recognised from the bus the previous day... Next stop Islands on Lake Titicaca.
