Hola from San Pedro..
We wait at the boarder for nearly 2 hours... got to love South American schedules.. Eventually it comes and an hour later we are in San Pedro.. We arrive to immigration.. The line was massive and it was very hot... it moved step by step over 2 hours.. Then we were close to the front and they decided to shut up shop for lunch.. There were easily 100 people still in the line.. Half hour later they opened up and we got through.. The bus then dropped us in the main square.. I got my stuff and headed on my way to find my hostel..I followed the directions but then there stopped being street signs... bags were heavy and it was hot and I still had thermals on from the morning.. I asked a local person where the street was and the b**** told me it was the other side of town.. I then walked all the way back... it was at this point that I fainted.. An English couple helped me and I went to the tourist information centre and asked where it is and she showed me on a map.. It was one street away from where I was in the first place.. This is why the local chick is a b****.. I sucked it up and headed back there... finally I found it after over an hour later..
I checked in and freshened up.. And went and got some dinner... I had a marinated chicken which was a big step for me after the food poisoning incident.. I walked around town a little went into a shop with a really cool local artist and then after a bit headed back to the hostel where I laid on a hammock and sent a few emails, chatted to some of my favourite people and then after a bit called it a night.
In the morning I woke up got ready and packed my things up.. I checked out with the most unfriendly lady in the world, she barely said a word and took forever to get my change. I asked her to call me a taxi and that took forever as well as they had no power.. She said she couldn't but since she took so long to get my change I no longer had enough time to walk to the bus stop.. I demanded she help me get a taxi which was so much effort.. Eventually some fat Spanish guy gets out of bed with no top on and they get me a taxi.. What a freaking nightmare..The taxi comes and I get to the bus stop with like 5 minutes spare.. Lucky the bus was late.. I ran and got some lollies as I hadn't had breakfast yet and that's all the shop had.. Then the bus came.. Since she took so long and they had no power I couldn't go print off my ticket.. So they nearly didn't let me on.. But luckily the lady was nicer then the man and she ran and copied my passport to use as a ticket.. I got on the bus and my hell hole experience in Chile was nearly over.. Next stop Salta, Argentina
