We have been making the most of our last week on the Ranch and riding every time we get a chance. Todd and his daughters took us up to his place for an adventure ride through a state park on his horses and it was the scariest ride I have ever been on, they love to gallop and jump up and down creek beds and hills through the forest and I have to admit I was glad to get home safely after 2 hours but Jesse absolutely loved it. We were lucky to have a week or two of nice weather but this week has gotten really cold again so we are back to having to layer up before we head outside. On Tuesday night Alice took us to a $10 all you can eat chinese buffet and afterwards we tried to go see 'The hunger games' at the Springville cinema however once we got inside after a 20 minute line up they told us that the projector was broken so we went back to the Ranch and ended up seeing the movie on Thursday night. On Wednesday Alice drove us to Buffalo to go shopping at a mall for the day and then took us through downtown Buffalo and past Lake Erie (one of the 5 great lakes) on the way home. We also went to an Aldi supermarket to pick up some groceries and the checkout ladies all have chairs and sit down the entire time they serve people (soo lazy). That night Katie (who boards a horse at the Ranch) took us to Ellicotville for dinner at 'The Gin Mill' where she works and it was wing Wednesday so we got cheap wings and entertainment. On Friday Todd and his daughters came over again and took us on another 2hr ride but this time it was through the creek, Jesse rode a horse called Gypsie and was trying a new saddle. When we were trotting through the creek Jesse's saddle fell off the horse because of a faulty girth and he fell into the creek which was freezing and it was only 4 degrees that day, very funny that he fell off but not so funny that is was soo cold. The whole time we have been here everyone has been telling Jesse that you aren't a good horse rider until you fall off so at least now he can say he is a good rider. Our last day on the Ranch was raining and very cold and there were 14 people booked in for a ride so we had to be out in the rain grooming and getting the horses ready so I just hope neither of us get sick. Our time on the Ranch was so fantastic and we met some great people so it was very sad to leave. Alice got up at 5am and drove us to Buffalo to catch our flight to Maimi. We are very excited to be in Miami but sad that we didn't have more time at the Ranch although if we were there any longer we may never have left.
