Miami is exactly how we imagined it to be and has exceeded all our expectations. It is very safe and there are families and kids everywhere and people in beachwear who are all chilled and having a good time. The weather has been absolutely beautiful for our entire 10 days here and the food and shopping is the best I have ever experienced. There are soo many people here though that have strange attractions with their miniature dogs and they take them to the resstaurants with them and let them sit up on the chairs at the tables, it is like nothing I have ever seen and I don't know how the restaurant staff put up with it and with their demands for water and food, I honestly think some people believe their dogs are humans and most of them are dressed up in one way or another. The funniest was a little white dog that had denim shorts on and a flip phone sticking out of its back pocket, I got a photo of it but it is hard to see. The beach is soo long and often packed with people, especially over the Easter weekend though there wasn't waves like there is in Australia so I still maintain that our beaches are better. Walking back to our hotel from the beach one day we were waiting at the street light to cross the road and a random rode up on his bike and offered Jesse Weed, he of course declined and the man proceeded to ask others while looking in the bin for food, interesting. It was also strange being here for the Easter weekend because they really don't celebrate it like we do in Aus, we searched for Easter eggs everywhere including supermarkets which didn't have any at all and the best we could find was a little Whitmans sampler in the pharmacy, they also didn't have the monday as a public holiday. While we have been here we have pretty much just been sitting on the beach, eating, shopping and sleeping so there isn't much news but we have had a very relaxing time and will be sad to leave tomorrow.
