What a stressful start to the day, all due to the train boards not being updated. We were at the station in plenty of time then our train was delayed. The amended time was put on the board so we got on the train that came at that time. Didn't feel like the right train so got off at next stop which lucky was another one in Vienna. Finally after lots of to and fro running for another train we got on one to Prague. 4 1/2 hours later and we were in this beautiful place with cobbled streets and lovely architecture. There were so many promotors of clubs, boat parties and pub crawls asking us if we wanted to join them- we found the best response was 'we've already done one' and that seemed to work! We found our apartment- huge, really lovely and smack bang in the centre of town. The receptionist told us something new. The absinthe in Prague is 70% alcohol compared to the 35% we have in the UK! Crazy Czechs!!! We had a wander around the Old Town after having some lunch and trying a local beer! We then went to find a supermarket which you'd think would be easy, but no! We swear that Czech people are rubbish at giving directions! We asked two lads walking past who happened to be American and had just been to the supermarket themselves. Pot luck! They were travelling too (although staying in the Hilton...) and asked if we had tjme to go for a beer which we did. Rooftop terrace bar had amazing views of the Old Town. Later in the evening we were peckish so found a small pizza restaurant and filled our stomachs with doughy goodness. Wandered back to apartment feeling very tired!!! Night Prague!
