Jen's Travel Diary
Well its saturday morning and we are sitting on the gorgeous beach at "Chewang" on 'Ko Samui'. The sand is white and the sea is bright clear blue, the stuff of postcards!
We are currently staying in "Dewdrop" bungalows, set in a beautifully cool shaded area just 2 seconds from the beach!
We went elephant trekking at Na Muang Falls on Sunday in the centre of the island. The elephants were ridden in the water of the falls, not on the road, which was much kinder. Annie really enjoyed it as she sat on the elepahnts head and directed its course for a while. I just stayed in the safety of the seat!!
We are going to be staying on the popular islands off of Thailand's east coast for a number of days. So a break from the cultural Thai experience, replaced by beaches and busy nightlife!
We have now moved onto Ko Phan Nan, it is even more beautiful as it is more rural with stunning scenery and lovely beaches. We are staying right on the beach again - but i feel that it is nicer than Ko Samui as the beach is cleaner and less busy.
We have had a few nights out on Ko Phan Nan, the main area being 'Hat Rin'. The party does not really kick off until midnight at the beach, so all the bars on the main street have a busy night. We have met lots of English people on our nights out, and people are so friendly that you just end up dancing with everyone!
