I know this postcard is a little misleading but there arent any pictures of Nasville in the Poscard Library thing and to be fair there were a few ropey looking women that did resemble mooses!!
Nashiville rocked, its the home of Country and Western and you can go into the bars on Broadway at any time to see live acts..we've never exactly been fans but you could help but be impressed!
Our first day we decided to absord the culture of the South...we went to the nearest mall and wondered around Tiffanys, LV and Macys...heavan!! There we treated ourselves to our new suitcases! They are beautiful..they have wheels and handles and compartments and they dont break your back!! As we'd just suffered a 15 hour coach trip we thought it only right we treat ourselves so made a quick stop in Abercrombie and Fitch....
That night we chilled as we were knackered from the coach journey...Denise did manage to get herself well aquainted with the bathroom after she broke the lock...the owner had to unpick it with a bent fork...oh how Jenna laughed!!
The next day we went to the Country and Western hall of fame...learnt loads considering the only Country singer we'd heard of prior to that was Dolly Parton! (Dont worry we're not gonna bore you with facts at this point!).
That night we went out with 2 English lads we'd met and headed downtown! We started of at Coyote Ugly to watch some rather drunk and slightly past it ladies dance on the bar...we vowed at that point never to embarass ourselves like that...2 hours later, lots of Vodka and Copius JD shots (well we were in Tenessee) it seemed like a really good idea and apparently you couldnt get us off...great! We then headed to two other bars...Jenna doesnt remember this but was later informed that she fell asleep on one..how classy! The next day was spent by Denise watching crappy daytime TV and by Jenna in bed! She eventually emerged at 6.00 that night when she was able to hold down food and water for the first time all day!
The next day was the Grande Ole Opry...we'd never heard of it but kept getting told to go! As it wasnt the weekend there were no shows on so we did the backstage tour, saw the fitting rooms, backstage, the star's bar etc etc which was pretty nice and then....wait for it...we went to the Mall!!
We really loved Nashville, the people are lovely and its different to anywhere we'd been before...Next stop Memphis....
