Last day in Hue, so a bit more sight-seeing to finish off. We took a taxi to Tu Duc's Royal Tomb Complex (no, we don't know what happened to One Duc or Three Duc), it was very pretty and atmospheric, we had a nice little wander, and then went back to the Imperial City. We'd been there yesterday, on a bit of a flying visit, but we fancied a more leisurely look. It was worth going back, 'cos there was loads we'd missed, and we just had a nice mooch around, soaking up the vibes, and laughing at a German woman who appeared to have a waste-paper basket on her head! Picture to follow, fashion-fans!
Back to the hotel for lunch and a swim as the weather was beautiful, and then to contemplate packing and moving on again, like 'The Littlest Hobo's' we've become!
Speak for yourself littlest!!!
Jeff informs me that I have to let people know when I am updating in case I let standards slip ( he checks my spelling!). So this is my additional update. We were faced with two tomb visiting options this morning, cycle or taxi. I had some romantic vision of a peaceful cycle on quiet roads through paddy fields, then practicality kicked in as we had no helmets, we are unfit, the roads are rammed full of mopeds and dogs roam freely. We got a taxi. Had a lovely morning strolling about royal tombs and palaces feeling regal without dressing up as a king & queen, believe me in Hue that is harder then you think! We have had a lovely stay in this pretty little town & head to Hoi An tomorrow without seeing Uncle Ho again!
