Another eventful day in London! Since we're leaving for Bath in two days we wanted to make sure we saw all the major sites in our remaining time here. Started off by visiting St Paul's Cathedral. We didn't get to see the inside of the church but the exterior by itself is incredible so we just took it in for awhile before heading accross Millenium Bridge to Tate Modern. While there was definitely some incredible pieces here, like Monet's Water Lilies, some of the abstract art I couldn't even consider art, like the picture I uploaded of red paint dripped down a canvas. Maybe I don't have an eye for art, but something like that seems laughable to me. Afterwards we headed to the British Museum which has so much pieces from cultures all over the world you could spend days looking at it all. We limited ourselves mostly to the egyptian (the rosetta stone, part of the great sphinx and mummies!) and greek sections. I would love to visit again and see more of their exhibits in the future. We escaped the hustle and bustle of London (they're always rushing off somewhere!) in Hyde Park and visited the Princess Diana Memorial Fountain. On our way back to the youth hostel, I dozed off and my mom didn't know which stop to get off so ended up getting lost for awhile somewhere in London before we finally found our way back. Ended our day by having a late dinner at a nearby Chinese restaurant. What I found so incredible is how international London is. Walking down the street, you can see people of every different race. And we've been able to try a different type of food for almost every meal we go out, including Indian, Lebanese, Japanese, French and of course fish and chips a few times for good measure. Well its 1:30 in the morning, so time for bed! Until next time!
