Today felt like the longest of my trip. I woke up early to catch a city bus back to the main bus station, meeting two Irish guys on it who I chatted with along the way. I caught a 3 hour bus back to Split, waited in the station for awhile and then rode a 7 hour train to Zagreb (ran into the 3 English guys I met earlier in Split!). A couple more hours of waiting at that station and then I was bound for Venice on the night train. Luckily I had my own bed this time but the cabin was still crammed with 5 other people. During the night we passed through Slovenia, another new country to my list! Upon arriving in Venice, I'm meeting up with my longtime friend, Carson Yach, who I'll be traveling with for the rest of my Europe trip. So ends my 7 1/2 weeks of solo traveling! It was the adventure of a lifetime exploring unknown places and meeting new people, having no plan and only myself to rely on. But I'm excited for this new stage of my trip, to be able to travel with one of my best friends through Italy, Spain and the south of France, to share these incredible experiences together and have these memories and stories for the rest of our lives. Italy here I come!
