UGH! Its SOOOOOO hot here. A spring time heatwave...of 39 degrees...SPRING. The worst is yet to come in December and January...and I can´t imagine it being hot on Xmas...NO WAY! This heat is killing me as well! And no one else is sympathetci, because all my flat mates are ARgentine, and all my foreign mates are from Spain, or Mexico, Chile, Brazil etc... Only one of them, a german, said it´s a bit too hot. Anyway, a pretty basic few days of work and classes. O...

Catch up time! Saturday - More or less nothing as I didn´t feel to well. May have been (well I know it was) Friday night that caused it! Spent some time in the centre of town midday to get some stuff...a ghost town during the siesta, everything closed. I fel alone and at risk on the streets. Yet when I met up with some people at about 7.30ish in the evening, just getting dark...ALL the shapes are open, the restaurants packed, the streets like Bromley highstreet...

The past few days... Thursday: So, pretty busy day, meetings etc... over possible jobs (which all come out trumps)...First of which was in a library at the Uni, where they record me reading texts in English for the sake of teaching purposes, exams etc... It was alright, a few hours a week will do me fine! I listened to other recordings, all American accents, then listening back to mine, I really noticed my accent...twen-y, instead of twnety and all that! Its rea...

A general, brief update... Monday - Lazy daysss! Woke up, brought a newspaper...Can you believe they publish Le Monde here (French newspaper), but not any British ones?! I´m aching to know whats going on at home! Then went to school...NOT good! Things haven´t been going so well at the school, unfortunately...It´s very chaotic and things rarely run to plan...I guess it´s a cultural thing for me, but I do prefer it when I know what I´m doing (all my friends h...

UPDATE! Sunday - Loved Sunday! Went horse ridings in the nearby Andes...Yay! The mountains are amazing ... and huge, they tower over the city and can be seen from most places within, and are only a short drive. So I was picked up from a youth hostel* and went into the Andes. In true Argentine style, they were late. This seems to be Argentine culture, eg if they say I´ll pick u up at 11am, it´ll be more 11.30-11.45...it even says this in the Lonley Planet guide...
