ADVENTURE! So, spent Monday (after a chilled out day in town on Sunday) on a LONG 14 hour tour of the north east of Argentina, purely traditional and indigenous. We drove up through the forsted and jungled Andes mountain into the most northern province of Argie, Jujuy. The mountains were breath taking...they were massive, covered in greenery, and had clouds floating around them. Got pictues! The scenery around the city of San Salvador de Jujuy was very nice too, ...

So I´ve moved!!!! I´m in the mystical north east of Argentina, which is beautiful. Andes, covered in jungles and also desserts, incan ruins, salt plains, colonial towns, llamas, ponchos etc... I´ve heard lots about it, and it is beautiful. I´m in a city called Salta, which is set in a valley, surrounded by green/jungled Andes and has a very colnial/spanishy feel (think Zorro movies)...I´ve not really done much here to be honest, as only arrived yesterday and...

So, Monday in Buenos Aires. HOT day again. Took an alternative tour of the city, which was about the controversial, and brutal history of the city. The surprising thing was all the history was within the last 55 years. We visited the government building again, learnt a bit more about Evita, and what happened in 2001. Also learnt how the various military coups of the 20th century were stagesçd, and even saw evidence of bomb damage from a coup which overthrew Pero...

Wow, where to start! What a place...Buenos is officially my favourite place I´ve ever been to as a tourist...be it Newquay, Grand Canyon or whatever...it´s amazing! So...Sunday morning was spent in San Telmo, the oldest part of town. There was a traditionally arts and crafts market (think Covent garden style) with traditional music...and people dancing tango in the street! It was brilliant, San Telmo is just sooo pleasent, it´s cobbled streets, traditionally ...

Ok I have a rare spare half an hour here in BA, so an update about the mini trip is going. So I arrived on Saturday after sleeping very little on the overnight bus, into the BUSY retiro bus station with something like 40 platforms! Managed to fight my way through there, and get a cab. The cab was terrorfying. I´ve been told porteños (people from buenos aires) drive like lunatics, and yeh they do! He was constantly bibbing, switching and changing lanes every 2 ...
