About a 4 hour drive to Buena Vista, still in Colorado. Buena Vista menas Beautiful View and it certainly was. The campsite we were staying at was overlooking the Colorado Rockies. We could see about 4 of the 'prestigious college' mountains. While the rest of the group went white water rafting, we lazed about the campsite and booked in for a hot tub that night. Had a panic when we heard thunder and all we could see was a huge cloud of rain coming towards us. We were rushing about like headless chickens, closing tents and covering everything in the camp. I'd already sorted out how I was going to shelter my backpack from the rain with my body, anything rather than get the clothes wet again.
