Stayed at the Grand Canyon for two nights. Not what I expected, there are so many levels of rock that fill the canyon, it's not as empty as I thought. We walked into the Canyon on day 2, to a view point called 'Ooh Ahh'. it was only about 1 mile long. The views were good and got to see some of the donkeys plodding up and down, so sad! In theamp ground we sayed at there was loads of wildlife, an elk was really close. There were huge ravens who attacked any rubbish you left lying around, had to be very careful. On a sadder note when karen went to the toilet she got a fright when staring up from her in the loo was a dead chipmunk! On our last day we got up at 4.45am to go and watch the sunrise in the canyon, it was gorgeous, totally worth an early morning.
