Last day of Trek America. Must admit it was great taking down the tent for the LAST time.Drove to San Fran and walked across The Golden Gate bridge. Had a drive up into the hills to get the best view of the bridge and San Fran. Great views across to Alcatraz (tried to get tickets ont eh ferry but all booked up) and the Pacific. Met most of the group for tea and walked through China Town. Emi, Sam, me and Kar went out at night and ended up in the dodgiest pub around. We met in with another Trek America group and a few drinks. There was a blues/jazz band playing so it ended up a really good night, plus the bar man was as drunk as everyone else so was giving out triple shots! Sad saying bye to everyone, it was a great trip! Saw lots of great places and amazing things thanks to Emi! The next day we met with Sam again and went to teh Ciot tower which over looks San Fran (another tall tower)and saw the church Marilyn Munroe married in. Spent most days in San Fran browsing round the shops. Found a fab shop called Sophora, a make up shop you can go in and try on all teh make up, perfume, hand creams, body creams the lot and no one bothers you or asks to help you. Kare and I were in every night slapping on the make up for a night out! Enjoyed San Fran, a beautiful city.
