We went to Niagara Falls because it's one of those sights on most bucket lists so, as expected, it was impressively well attended. Due to its popularity there were all sorts of experiences on offer with exhilarating lengthy queues thrown in at no extra charge. If the kids were still bored, the main street of the town was converted into a theme park which promised to be fun for the whole family.
Despite the town's best efforts, we were still quite impressed by the falls and Niagara Glen, a park area close by. We couldn't help but notice how easy it would be to cross over into the USA illegally but, alas, we chose to do it the official way. We were a little nervous about walking across the border just because it's the USA and they were probably going to be very stringent. As it turned out, the customs officer was a lot of fun and ended up playing us music on his iphone, telling us about the types of people that make his job difficult and complaining about his career and his country. After a lot of laughs we finally left him to check through a tour group and searched for a bus out of there.
