It was an absolute pleasure arriving in Europe and walking through the little cobble stone streets of Athens. The food is awesome, as expected, with yiros and sweet shops on every corner. Huge servings of yiros with chips can be as cheap as about $3 or $4 and Greek coffee goes for $1.50.

Most of the sites are within walking distance of the centre of the city which are great to explore, photograph and get a history fix. The old town surrounding the acropolis is beautiful with terracotta tiles, flower pots, cats, little classic tables and chairs and cafés hidden down side alleys.
