Sighisoara was similar to the other small town we visited in Romania (Sibiu) with beautiful old buildings in a fortified old town. The difference we found was that the city centre was not in the old town, where we were staying and where all the old buildings were situated. This meant that very little was happening around the old town besides other people looking at the old buildings which wasn't quite as nice as the other towns as it felt a bit more like a museum...

Sibiu is a lovely little city full of beautiful old buildings. The city centre is the centre of old town with a square surrounded by impressive buildings and filled with little stalls selling all sorts of crafty knick knacks, cheeses, chocolates and other tasty treats. It was quite nice to see everyone living in a town that looked like it is stuck in a different era in history.

We spent a few days in Brasov, Transylvania, Romania of Dracula fame. The city has an old town centre which is lovely to walk around and there are a few castles and a palace a short drive from the city. When we first arrived and looked around the city we were blown away by the incredible large, gothic buildings that looked like they were fresh off of a Dracula movie set.
